Role:Financial Accountant 

Key Responsibilities:

-Assume ownership  for the accounting for & controlling of the company’s investment portfolio including risk analysis, currency exposures and liability matching
-Quarterly management reporting & analysis
-Annual and quarterly returns to the Central Bank including Solvency II QRT’s, SFCR & RSR.
-Assisting in the preparation of annual statutory accounts taking a lead role in relation to financial instruments analysis and disclosures. 
-Quarterly IFRS accounting reporting to Group. 
-Participate in preparation of the annual budget and quarterly reforecasts, monitoring of monthly result and variance analysis & explanation.
-Operational tasks including ledger entries & reconciliations.
-Maintaining systems and controls to ensure adequate documentation and audit trails. 
-Involvement in team projects including implementation of new and revised Accounting standards i.e. IFRS 17, IFRS 9
-Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience required for this role:

-Must have a recognised Accountancy qualification
-At least 4 years experience 
-Audit background is preferable
-Trained in one of the Top 10 Accounting firms is preferable  
-Exposure to non-life insurance business (either directly or via audit).
