The principal activity of Greenval Insurance is the provision of fleet motor insurance to Arval Lease Services and their clients in a number of primarily European Union territories to complement Arval’s leasing and fleet management activities.  Founded in 2007 and wholly owned by Arval Service Lease S.A in France, Greenval now provides (re)insurance in 20 countries and is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland.

Role:
The successful candidate will report to the CFO, with a dotted line to the CRO. 

Key Responsibilities:
•Oversee the implementation of the permanent operational control system in particular verifying the correct application of the ACP (Accounting Control Plan)
•Formalise annual controls review calendar in order to apply a risk-based approach.
•Check and challenge of the internal control set up
•Identify the risk areas insufficiently covered by procedures and controls and helps define new controls to improve the system.
•Follow up of action plans on internal and external audit recommendations 
•Monitor the key internal control indicators for Finance and report to the relevant Committees
•Perform independent testing of Accounting and Management controls
•Record results on group systems
•Contribute to the development of the FPC community across associated companies within the broader group
•Implement the Procurement controls and report to the relevant Committees on results
•Manage supplier selection/Tender process and relationships
•Ensure data recorded in procurement systems is accurate & current
•Manage the screening and KYS requirements of suppliers in accordance with group policies
•Participate in the centralisation project to ensure compliance with group guidelines for KYS and Outsourcing while ensuring local Central Bank of Ireland regulatory requirements are similarly respected
•Ensure operational incident declaration system is effectively operating and complies with Group regulations
•Participate in the internal control program testing (Second Line of Defence controls / investigations) to meet all internal company and BNP Paribas Group requirements along with regulatory requirements. On selected processes, perform audits and independent testing.
•Act as secretary for “Finance Internal Control” and “Financial & Operational Risk Control” Committees
•Support the central teams on implementing a new Finance Control tool (Beacon) and enhancing the local tool (Blackline) and developing interfaces between both
•All other duties, including ad hoc projects and/or travel, as assigned

Qualifications & Experience required for this role:
•A recognised Accountancy qualification 
•Working experience in Internal controls and/or Procurement
•Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
•Preferably experienced in the insurance industry either directly or via audit
•Fluency in English is essential and knowledge of French is an advantage
