The principal activity of Greenval Insurance is the provision of fleet motor insurance to Arval Lease Services and their clients in a number of primarily European Union territories to complement Arval’s leasing and fleet management activities.  Founded in 2007 and wholly owned by Arval Service Lease S.A in France, Greenval now provides (re)insurance in 20 countries and is regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland.

Role:
The successful candidate will report to the COO and will be responsible for managing the data analytics team within Greenval Insurance specialising in motor insurance across multiple countries.

Location: The Anchorage 17-19 Sir John Rogersons Quay, Dublin 2, D02 DT18

Key Responsibilities:
•Follow the IT interface processes with data providers and liaise with their IT staff regarding the quality of data exchange.
•Liaise with central Arval IT teams to increase and advance the operational benefits of central platforms.
•Reconcile data provided by outsourcing providers and Greenval platforms.
•Perform data validation pre-integration into reporting platforms
•Develop / enhance interfaces and reporting to vehicle / regulatory databases in relevant jurisdictions e.g. RDW, GDV, UFG and for our regulator, Central Bank of Ireland
•Identify & implement data & system changes arising from transition to IFRS 17 in conjunction with Finance & Actuarial teams 
•Work with all departments including Actuarial, Finance, Claims, Underwriting and others to provide the required data to meet ad-hoc queries and reporting deadlines
•Advance Greenval in developing internal reporting and analysis capabilities 
•Ensure that Data Quality is maintained to the highest standards in line with company objectives.
•Ensure compliance with Solvency II principles and the Basel Committee for Banking Supervision issued Principles (BCBS 239) that banks must comply with in terms of governance,  IT infrastructure, data aggregation capabilities and risk reporting practices
•Ensure compliance with group policies and procedures related to data quality & governance 
•Agree objectives and conduct appraisals for all direct reports on an annual basis including providing more frequent feedback
•All other duties, including ad hoc projects and/or travel, as assigned

Qualifications & Experience required for this role:
•Hold a third level qualification preferably in technology, insurance, business or related discipline
•Experienced in managing small team and collaborating with other teams based both locally and internationally
•Preferably experienced in the insurance industry
•Experience with Database concepts with planning, design and development
•Strong IT skills are essential – especially SQL, SAS, Oracle, Excel, Jira, SAS Viya or similar reporting platforms
•Good analytical and problem solving skills 
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•Ability to relate to both business & IT specialists, working in different locations
•Project management experience, excellent organisational & communication skills
•Fluency in English is essential and knowledge of French is an advantage
