Since it signed the Global Pact of the United Nations in 2002, AGF has been actively encouraging its suppliers, in turn, to adopt this agreement. In this way, Arval PHH, specialist in Operational Leasing and management of multibrand corporate vehicles, has today joined the 145 suppliers of AGF who have already signed the United Nations Global Pact.
This pact commits them to introducing a sustainable development policy focused on nine principles concerning Human Rights, working conditions and the environment. By signing this pact, Arval PHH has reinforced the partnership established between the two companies.
In addition to managing vehicles used by AGF in Operational Leasing, this collaboration is part of a mutual consulting and sustainable development approach centred on four themes, from the specifications drawn up by AGF:
· Environmental protection: As for the vehicles proposed by Arval PHH, their level of carbon dioxide discharge is taken into account with respect to the average for vehicles in their category, thus enabling AGF to select vehicles that are the most environment-friendly.
· Cost control: Arval PHH makes suitable management tools available to AGF (budget grids, annual analyses, specific reporting tools, etc.). AGF analyses these results in order to ensure optimal cost control.
· Safety: Arval PHH provides AGF with its expertise in high-level safety equipment on board the Group’s vehicles (cruise control, speed limiter, airbag, ABS, fog lights, etc.).
· Duty to provide information: AGF and Arval PHH work together to draw up technical data sheets on the vehicles offered as well as to prepare personalised users’ guides (the driver’s rights and duties, charter of good driving practices, etc.).
AGF and Sustainable Development
AGF, a major player in insurance and financial services, has placed Sustainable Development at the core of its strategy and operating policy of each of its entities.
In this way, the Procurement Department offers this approach in its supplier’s policy with which it hopes to develop partnership relations. When selecting partners, it takes their commitment to Sustainable Development into account. Today, 35% of the Group’s purchasing volume meet this requirement.
