Processing Of Your Personal Data

Dear Candidate,

By creating an account and uploading your personal data on Taleo, you acknowledge that BNP Paribas SA Dublin Branch, of 5 Georges Dock, Dublin DUB1 (“BNPP”) will process your personal data in connection with its legitimate business interests, being its candidate selection and recruitment process (the “Recruitment Process”).

Processing of your personal data

BNPP will process your personal data in connection with the Recruitment Process. This includes processing your personal data in order to:

  • select suitable candidates for review by hiring managers;
  • enable the review of suitable candidates by hiring managers;
  • make offers to candidates;
  • request third parties to conduct pre-screening of successful candidates;
  • obtain employment references;
  • export new hire information for upload/entry into local HR systems; and
  • report on recruitment key performance indicators (KPIs) and candidate sources.

Data retention

Your personal data will be retained in accordance with the “GDPR – Dublin HR Personal Data Management Policy” (the “Policy”). The Policy provides that the personal data of unsuccessful candidates (including job applications, references and interview records) will, unless BNPP is under a legal obligation to retain the personal data for a longer period, be deleted no later than 12 months after notifying the candidate that he/she has been unsuccessful in their application.

If you accept a job offer from BNPP, some of the personal data provided on Taleo will be kept on your personnel file during the term of your employment and retained for seven years after the termination of your employment. It may also be used to find job matches for current and future employment positions within BNPP if you indicate you wish to participate in such matching processes.

Who has access to your personal data?

Access to the Taleo database is strictly reserved for staff responsible for the Recruitment Process within BNPP and the BNP Paribas Group companies internationally. The personal data you submit may also be transferred to the BNPP employee who posted the vacancy you applied for and other BNPP employees involved in the interview process.  Your personal data may also be provided to third parties, which are not part of the BNP Paribas Group, where aspects of the Recruitment Process have been outsourced to such third parties.

In order to perform manual and computerized maintenance and technical support tasks within Taleo, BNPP Human Resources uses the services of a service provider/subcontractor, namely Oracle, a company located in the United States. The transfers of data to Oracle (and others referred to above) are subject to appropriate or suitable safeguards in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”). Oracle saves the data on secured sites in England and in the Netherlands, where it is archived and retained for the period set out in the Policy. 

How does BNP Paribas secure the data?

Your personal data will be treated as strictly confidential and BNPP takes appropriate technical and organisational security measures to protect and safeguard your personal data against loss and/or unlawful processing.

Right to access, rectify, erase or destroy your personal data

You can update or delete your profile at any time during or after the Recruitment Process by accessing Taleo. We encourage you to update your data to ensure it remains accurate, while you are going through the Recruitment Process. You can update or remove data by simply logging into your account and modifying the information as needed.

You can also choose to delete your account through Taleo, or request that this is done by one of the BNPP key users of the site. Deleting an account is a permanent and irreversible action.

If you lose your password or username, this can be retrieved by using the automatic retrieve username/password feature, or you can ask BNPP to reset it.
