Client Notice: GDPR – Corporates & Institutions
On May 25th 2018, EU Directive 2016/679 of 27th April 2017 (the General Data Protection Regulation “GDPR”) comes into force.
In brief, the purpose of the new GDPR regulation is:
- To align and harmonise data protection standards across the EU.
- To ensure and promote the responsible management of personal data that we may register and use in the course of our business.
In the course of our business, we may be required to register some personal information about you, perhaps in your capacity as an authorised signatory, a beneficial owner, a director, an employee, a guarantor, a provider of security or a third party linked to our client.
To inform you how we use and safely store such information, we have provided a link to the BNP Paribas S.A. Data Privacy Notice (the DPN). In addition, please note that we are revising certain documents and Terms & Conditions for our Corporate and Institutional Clients effective 25th May 2018. These changes address the new conditions and protections available under the GDPR.
To obtain a copy of these changes, please contact our local GDPR Support Team at email@example.com.
Should you not agree to these changes, you must advise us in writing before the notice period ends. If you do not object to the changes before 25th May 2018, you will be deemed to have accepted the changes.
